Heart work
It is not enough to work hard, but adding some heart to make a change in whatever position or job we have. If we simply work and work without a purpose, we may find ourselves in an existential-laboral-crisis: where we don’t know who we are in the position we take inside the enterprise.
Each one of us has a place in the world, our job helps us understand it and to communicate it to others, the same way we find ourselves in the world and to be able to communicate who we are and what we strive for.
But is not enough to understand it, we need to add some heart to it. To want what we desire because we know it is good for us.
When we work with the heart we will find ourselves in constant aim of what we want: happiness.
A man was walking down the street and found a construction working on a building, and he asked home the obvious: “What are you doing?” and the worker answered: “Building a wall”, the man continued his way and found another worker, and asked him the same thing: “what are you doing?”, and the second worker replied: “I am working for my family”, the man kept going and found a third worker on the site and asked him the same question: “what are you doing?” and he said: “I am making history”. These three answers change because of the end intended: payment, family, and transcendence. What are you doing with your life?
