Something else

Life exists, there is a natural bewilderment in finding nature’s greatness and complexity that compels us to think that there must be something else that made things the way there is. A special designer, an architect or a creator who put everything in motion. 

There is a natural tendency in humanity to wonder and ponder that there is something bigger than what exists, a deity, natural forces, energy, love, etc. There has always being something or someone that handles the strings of life, that has the answers to life and existence. Something that can give account of the universe that allows us to continue living. 

That natural inquisition in the search for meaning is human, to be part of something greater, bigger that compels us to give account of things, that honour and respect is called religion. 

Religion is a virtue we live in equilibrium between two opposites: atheism and fanaticism. Both extremes are many of the political, religious and personal problems we face in our lives. But we cannot deny the tendency of being responsible to a superior being, that’s is why an atheist, who denies a superior being called God, makes of any human or thing a deity. And the fanatic doesn’t reason about what they believe and simply follows a belief without enriching it. 

To recognize and treat a superior entity make us just, to give an authority the respect and obedience that belongs to it.
