Become a trending-thinker

Socialmedia is constantly updating us with things that happen around the world at a fast pace. Most of these news are relevant for us to be aware of what is going on globally, so we are able to know and act in support or denounce the problems, send help, or anything that is needed.

Most of the times, however, important news or those that we may care most are not shown because there are other trending topics showing. People following the news determine what is trendy and what’s not, so the fact that most news are in the shade may be because of us. For example, the constant terrorist attacks in the Middle East and Africa. As tragic as other attacks, the lack of information and news about those events aren’t shown and cannot become trending topics.

It is not the media that is fooling us, it is ourselves that decide what is relevant and not. We decide what to learn; we decide to see the relevance of what is happening to others so that we can help them in the best way possible. Follow the things that makes you better, not that makes you curious.
