Being professional: is not just work, is your attitude that counts
There are many people around us working shoulder to shoulder to make the enterprises, business and society better, faster, more accurate and specialized in making the world a better place and by doing it so becoming richer.
Being with people for 8 hours straight doing what they need to get the company standing, depending on others to make things happen and changing peoples lives with their services is what business is all about. We hire specialists, professionals and technicians that make things go faster and beneficial to all of us.
However, the degree or the position we have has nothing to do with the success of the company, it also has to do with the civility and social norms around us in the everyday work. We can be really cool and have the greatest attitude at work but if we lack professionalism, then we cannot grow, but we should not have a professional degree and be bad at social norms. For example, we all work in the same place for the same company, why make our lives miserable pretending to be superior to others? We all know that every part is essential for the clock to run, the same as in a company.
The lack of civility inside the enterprises is what makes them fail. We all contribute to making where we are a better place for us and our clients, but if we miss teamwork and the effort we all give in at work, then there is nothing to make the work a tool for finding happiness. It becomes an obstacle that takes happiness from us.
Changing our attitude towards work can make our lives easier and more pleasant for us and others; no matter what position we have inside the business. Let us make life easier, making others feel good when we are near.
