Can we be good?

Our life is complex there are many things through time that mould us to make certain decisions and we respond to many things in life in the best way possible with what we have. But most of those decisions weren’t good. » Evil people never believe that they are evil; rather, they believe that everyone else is evil.»

«But the converse is true as well: the more you embrace being uncertain and not knowing, the more comfortable you will feel in knowing what you don’t know. Uncertainty removes our judgments of others; it preempts the unnecessary stereotyping and biases that we otherwise feel when we see somebody on TV, in the office, or on the street. Uncertainty also relieves us of our judgment of ourselves. We don’t know if we’re lovable or not; we don’t know how attractive we are; we don’t know how successful we could potentially become. The only way to achieve these things is to remain uncertain of them and be open to finding them out through experience. Uncertainty is the root of all progress and all growth. «

Embracing uncertainty and allowing room for the unknown can be intimidating, as humans naturally seek order and predictability. However, by embracing uncertainty, we open ourselves up to a world of possibilities. It is in uncertain moments that innovation, creativity, and personal growth can thrive. Life becomes an adventure, and we embark on a journey of self-discovery and continuous learning.

Uncertainty is not a sign of weakness, but rather a mark of resilience and adaptability. It challenges us to question our assumptions, explore different perspectives, and seek knowledge outside of our comfort zones. It allows us to break free from the limitations of our own beliefs and embrace the beauty of the unknown.

Moreover, uncertainty teaches us humility and empathy. When we acknowledge that we don’t have all the answers, we become more open to learning from others. We listen with curiosity, respect diverse opinions, and collaborate to find solutions. Uncertainty encourages us to embrace diversity and find strength in collective wisdom.

In a world that often craves certainty and quick solutions, it is important to remind ourselves of the power of uncertainty. By embracing the unknown, we become more adaptable, resilient, and compassionate individuals. So, let us embrace uncertainty as a catalyst for personal and societal growth, and embark on a transformative journey full of endless possibilities.»

«Before we can look at our values and priorities and change them into better, healthier ones, we must first become uncertain of our current values. We must intellectually strip them away, see their faults and biases, see how they don’t fit in with much of the rest of the world, to stare our own ignorance in the face and concede, because our own ignorance is greater than us all.»
