Good-bye Dolores
We live in a world filled with information, activities, problems, crisis, events that make us look down. And then we lose perspective of what is around us. So a lot of bad news are floating around us and we are less and less capable to react to them. It is like we’ve switched off our capacity to be empathic.
The Irish rock band, Cranberries, constantly shouts against all types of abuse they see around the world. Perhaps the music genre may seem too lousy for some, but that doesn’t mean that they are not changing minds, making conscience of the violence we are in.
After the death of their lead singer Dolores O’Riordan we mourn the loss but also we are greatefull for her amazing and unique voice that transmited a powerful message around the world. Music can make changes if we listen to their lyrics instead of focusing only on the rhythm.
These are the bands that show concern about the world and do not keep us away from what is really happening. Thank you Dolores for your legacy.
Another head hangs lowly
Child is slowly taken
And the violence, caused such silence
Who are we mistaken? But you see, it’s not me
It’s not my family
In your head, in your head, they are fighting
With their tanks, and their bombs
And their bombs, and their guns
In your head, in your head they are cryingIn your head, in your head
Zombie, zombie, zombie-ie-ie
What’s in your head, in your headZombie, zombie, zombie-ie-ie, ohThe Cranberries
