My project happiness
While reading Gretchen’s book “Project happiness” I was skeptical about what someone could say to be happy. I felt like I was expecting a recipe or some magic pills so one can be happy, or a series of exercises to be happy. It may be a spoiler, but what I confirmed as someone specialized in virtues and habits to make people be better and happier in their lives and find their lives’ meaning, I realized that being happy is not something that you wait to fall down on you, or that by waving a magic wand the happiness I need will be spilled on me, or that an event in life will give me what I want.
Project Happiness is a series of actions that I need to do so I can be happy in everyday life details. To see the small things and appreciate its value so I can be better. Happiness doesn’t fall from a tree; it blossoms inside each of us if we are willing to do it for ourselves.
