The Christmas paradox
Why does Christmas amaze us? There is a change in the air once the world prepares for Christmas. People become more ethical and more aware of the need of others and change their actions with the excuse «it is Christmas». What harm may come? or what is the big deal? or is it because it is that time of the year when we are genuine to do good things?
Is there something in the air that makes us feel good to do good? The Christmas spirit is something magical that makes us change our habits to try to do good.
Publicity becomes more charitable, peaceful and innocent, bad news diminishes and there are messages of hope and love instead, and we are constantly reminded of the unity and love that is around unlike the rest of the year when everything seems to be misplaced or at war. Instead, the end of the years is filled with hope and peace and love for one another.
There is also business flowing and consumerism is exploded but in a peaceful ideal, which is clearly not real because that is the time of the year when most people die and become violent chasing after sales. But the idea of spreading love through small gifts that remind us of our humanity and the same wish of peace that we all desire concentrates at Christmas. «We wish every day was like Christmas».
