The joker in all of us

In a world where everywhere you look is filled with bad news, trying to keep a happy face seems worthless; nobody seems to appreciate what we do, our efforts to keep on going and making our life happy.

Therefore, we get tired of waiting, we want to be acknowledged for those little details that we do to keep on moving forward. However, in a world so filled with itself, how can anybody see? Who will turn around to see us? If we are only looking at ourselves? We become the same as others: we want attention from others, we want others to see us but we do not want to see them because we think nobody is more important than us; and that is our problem: we are overrated.

We want what everyone else wants: recognition. Nevertheless, once we get it… what then? Is it enough? Was it worth it?It seems that we don’t like it. The Joker is a movie that goes into our psyche and touches that narcissistic self where we want to be seen, appreciated for what we do to keep on going without success. What if we rebel against the status quo? Join the mob? Make a revolution? Be the victims of a system that doesn’t exist? Fight a villain that wasn’t there? In the end, it is all our ego trying to succeed… is it worth it?
