The past paradox
Have you ever wondered and desired to go back in time? It may seem that life before technology and the old ways of thought were the best ones to be happy. Even, there are movies that simulate going back in time to live in the old ages and progress.
Life has many goals and difficulties to face, we may think that before things weren’t that bad, and that makes us think that if we go back in time we could be able to improve things, the desire is real of imagining how we can tackle the problems that we already know with the experience we now have. And there is the trick: what we gain in experience seems easy to apply to a known problem.
Living in the past glories seems desirable, but what we leave behind is the fact that the problems and difficulties of the lack of technology and resources to be content and satisfied, for example: going to the bathroom, the access to information and the hierarchy problem: in which level of society would I live.
Each time has its own difficulties and problems that allow humanity to overcome them, and the lack of difficulties makes inventions and new ways of understanding life. We may think we are better where things worked, but we couldn’t have those advantages that we now know. Enjoy the present. Carpediem.
