What’s done is done

Time is a mystery, if someone asks us about it, we cannot answer in a simple way. Time is composed of 3 parts: past, present, future. The past is gone, therefore it doesn’t exist. The future is not here yet, therefore it doesn’t exist. The only thing that really exist is the present. It is what we have and with what we can change our lives and challenge the future. Being present is to act now, right here. But without losing track of time that is who we have become and who we want to become.

What do you regret? If regrets keep you from doing what you want, let them go but learn from them to be prepared to confront them in the present. There is a saying that goes: “Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me” to survive we must take what we need from the past to live a full life in the present. Saint Augustine says that the past is not done yet if we can learn from our mistakes. If we focus on the past, we cannot live in the now.

The future is uncertain, but we can shed some light in it with our present actions. Why wait to do them in the future? Why not now?

What would you do if you had 10 minutes left to live? What would you do if you had 10 months left to live? What would you do if you had 10 years left to live? What would you do with your life?
