Why Opera?

When we think about the opera what comes to our minds is a luxury for elder people or high society. If not that, something we dislike for being boring or too serious. In the opera there seem to be many fat singers that can hit high notes or low notes; they act and their costumes and makeup seem to be exaggerated.

We may think that people that go to the opera are quite dramatic and a little weird because who would like something that is out-of-fashion? The opera teaches us to live in various situations without actually being there. I mean, having the same feelings and emotions during the play along with the dramatism and extraordinary voices and costumes, we can see in them a purpose to live a good life. Hopefully, we don’t need to be in such situations to value what we have, but by the representation, we can live it and learn from it. 

There are many stories and feelings involved, so it is good to attend the opera to get in touch with our emotions. And also there we can learn from the different problems that are represented in a dramatic way but are still true in our daily lives and the moral dilemmas we can find ourselves coping with. The opera is not something boring; it is something we can learn from and it requires our full attention like most of the good stuff. The opera is a treaty of the tragedy of life.
