The king’s speech

The movie about king George VI talks about the traumas and prejudices we can have, no matter who we are, we all have fears and ideas that are not always true. That is what we call “the impostor syndrome”; the idea we aren’t prepared for what we are doing or the responsibilities we are about to take.

All that preparation and commitments we’ve all been having and doing are the ones that show everyone else our capacities and abilities to embark on missions and new things that are more and more important: like getting a job, getting married, being a parent, having a promotion, buying a house, etc.

The movie talks about the thing that is everyone’s weakest issue: fears and insecurities we have. Most of our lack of confidence is because we aren’t seeing the good side of our abilities. We tend to see the bad things and make them bigger than they are.

Failing is the only way to learn what we might be missing and watching the details to be careful the following time. We may seem weak but aknowledging what we can and cannot do is the key to success and we only realize it when we fail. Enjoy failure because it is the only way to success.
