Why do we get mad when someone is happy
We’ve all been in that situation when a group of people is having a good time and they begin laughing, shouting and making noise. People become aware of them, they start looking, eyeing them and acting different from what they were doing. Some even want to shush them, to take notice of the surroundings and respect others; others get really annoyed trying to make them see they are having too much fun; others begin having fun seeing them and enjoying their happiness; and few of them don’t mind.
Which type are you when you see someone having fun?
Nowadays it seems that we need to be in the context of whatever happens around us, and we make it personal when we are left out. FOMO (fear of missing out) may seem like a condition we suffer when we want to know the latest thing. We may be reflecting a void inside us and that makes us angry, and jealous because they are having a good time and we aren’t.
How we react to other people’s happiness can show us what we are feeling at the moment and our ability to enjoy little things. We need to learn to have fun and let others have fun, that id a habit, and the more we exercise it the more happiness we have, it is called Eutrapelia, is a greek word that means the art of having fun, and let others have fun.
Having fun can be scandalous, and also contagious, but there are times and places to have it. We need to be in the moment and measure the scene to have fun. If there is no time or place, we can also enjoy the moment.
